They say that behind every great entrepreneur, business owner, or professional is an equally great staff person. While you are working growing the business, taking risks, and making things happen, they are there behind the scenes working too, frequently doing the unsung and less visible but detailed support work that just needs to get done. I know because this is very much how my own business operates.

But this does not happen by accident. As a broker, we have had the privilege of working with many companies. Each one is a little different, but it has given us a great amount of insight on how they operate, and it is at times when there is a red alert this can really make a difference. Recently we had a situation where one of our clients suddenly lost their office manager precipitating a small crisis. While this too will pass, finding another ‘right arm’ is never easy and you don’t want it to create problems for your customers who depend on you and frequently cannot wait.

Fortunately, because we had a long a working relationship with our client, we were able to quickly step in and help the new office team with many of the administrative functions they lost such as enrolling new employees, installing a new dental plan, and providing back office support that this person had previously done. While we always prefer to have a working relationship with your administrators, we have to meet you where you need the help.

Ironically, we rue losing this person too but understand that life happens.

When you work with us, you have a dedicated team of people who are knowledgeable, experienced, and familiar with you and your team and we can provide a seamlessly integrated approach to just about anything that might happen. On a scale of 1:10 this incident was about a 3 or 4 but it was a good reminder of what can go wrong when you lose someone or don’t have the right personnel around you.
